Meet Recap

The Dock boys team took bronze in the golden anniversary of the Mill Street Run on Saturday in Bristol, Pa.
The Pioneers edged Lower Moreland for third place overall with 81 points thanks to a strong pack behind its two front-runners. Dock finished just eight places out of second overall. Dock averaged 19:17 per runner and had the lowest split between its top and fifth scorer of any team in its division at 2 minutes, 18 seconds.
Senior co-captain Isaiah Denlinger nearly matched his personal record in the first race of the season. His 17:55 clocking was good for seventh overall in the Small Schools division.
Steven Seachrist was also terrific in the first official race of his junior year. He finished 16th overall in 18:41.
Ian Anderson and Jonathan Anderson were stride for stride through the first of two loops of the course. Ian, a senior co-captain, pulled ahead to snag 20th place in 19:44. Jonathan, a sophomore in his first year of cross country, debuted in 21st in 19:46.
Another first-year runner, Sam Godshall, was Dock’s fifth finisher. The freshman placed 27th overall in 20:14. Fellow freshman Sean Robinson wasn’t far back in 20:35 for 29th.
Bobby Hadden crept within seconds of his personal best despite a recent knee injury. The junior ran 21:28 for 32nd place.
First-year team members Josh Bauman and Ming Xue improved greatly over their scrimmage performances. Bauman, a freshman, ran 24:25, while Xue, a sophomore, came in at 25:53.
The Dock boys return to action in their first Bicentennial Athletic League race at Tyler State Park on Tuesday.
