Upper Merion - 15

On a Wednesday afternoon at Upper Merion High School, Pioneers lost fifteen to three.  Some highlights from the Pioneers.  On the offensive end, Captains Abby Mellinger and Tess Bergey both scored goals, and Emerson Gruver also scored a goal on an eight meter penalty shot.  Strong attacking stills from Jenna Detweiler, Emily Markel, Lily Hunsberger, Sophie Veltre. and Mary Ellen Picariello. 

On the defensive end, outstanding goalie tending from Jenayah Alvarado Vanegas with ten saves on the game.  Defender Claudia Fernandez caused three turnovers, including a blocked shot.  Captain defender Olivia Veltre had an assist.  Aggressive defensive stills from Amanda Moyer, Daniella Slater-Miller and Brielle Bauman. 

Pioneers as a team had seven offensive shots, eight draw control possessions, and fifteen ground ball pick ups.  Pioneers also caused nine turnovers.  

We are continuing to grow and learn and looking forward to our next game on Monday, March 25, away at Academy Park
