Dock Boys Basketball 2023-24 Season Preview

Coaching Staff – Mike Fergus Head Coach, Marcus Etheridge Assistant Coach, Roger Perry Head Coach, & Ed France Volunteer coach

Dock Basketball emphasizes teamwork, conditioning, and fundamentals. Coach Fergus is entering his 47th year of coaching and has won over 100 games at 4 different high schools. Coach Etheridge played for coach Fergus at North Penn and is a great tactician and motivator. Coach Perry has been coaching at Dock for 16 years and is an invaluable asset. Coach France lends experience, support, and positive leadership. It’s a solid, experienced, tremendous coaching staff.

Dock Boys Basketball has many key returning players this season such as Tony Martin, Vaughan Martin, Ethan Parr, AJ Washington, Michael John, Bryan Dorneman, and Josh Mascio. The team also has some key additions to the team Rob Sukaly, Justin Panaia, and Idris Smith.

Dock, as always, has great chemistry and teamwork. Participating in a variety of off-season open gyms, tournaments, hosting an 18-team summer league at Dock, going to team camp, etc., all lead to great esprit-de-corps and unity.

Dock Basketball is a program that teams want to beat! With 30 consecutive league wins, 2 district championships in the last 4 years, and an average of 21 wins a season the last 6 years, Dock will always get an opponent’s “A game”. A tough non-league schedule will challenge, as well as prepare the team for post-season play. Rivalries with Delco, Church Farm, Faith Christian, and basically all games highlight the schedule.

Dock Basketball is set on maximizing the team talent to achieve the most successful season possible. Play the game the right way! 

The Dock Boys Basketball Team hosted a free basketball skills clinic on November 10. 45 area youngsters attended- more than double the number of last year's inaugural clinic! 4 Dock Basketball Coaches and 8 players taught fundamental skills and game play to the participants. Coach Fergus instructed and delivered a motivational talk and former Division 1 player Jay Jameson also was a guest speaker.
