News · Dock Hires New Girls Lacrosse Coach

Dock Mennonite Academy Athletic Department is happy to announce the hiring of Michelle Waldspurger as our new girls lacrosse coach!

Coach Waldspurger has been involved with teaching and coaching lacrosse over the past 20 years. During that time period she started the Lansdale Catholic girls lacrosse program and has been Head Director of Harleysville Field Hockey and Lacrosse Club Program.  In addition, she has been Head Director of Lacrosse Junior Stars, an indoor winter program for 1st through 8th graders, and has run her own summer lacrosse camp.

Presently, Coach Waldspurger is our head field hockey coach and has been in that role for the past 9 years. We have greatly appreciated her commitment to developing skill, providing opportunities to play out-of-season, and developing team play that consistently competes for league championship and district playoff opportunities. Along with these valued coaching qualities,  we have appreciated her ability to listen and connect with the student-athletes she coaches.

As our new girls lacrosse coach, Michelle will bring steady and effective leadership to our journey of forming this new program. Her teaching abilities, organizational skills and vision for building strong team play, – – will serve us well during these start-up years and beyond!

We are excited about having a girls lacrosse season next spring! Dock will be one of four Bicentennial League schools who play girls lacrosse. Sometime in the next month, Coach Waldspurger will be reaching out to those interested in playing Dock Girls Lacrosse. We look forward to seeing this team come together!
