On Tuesday afternoon, Pioneers of Dock Mennonite Academy traveled to league opponent Delco and won nine to six.
Pioneers were led by Sophia Veltre with five goals and one assist, Bailor White had three goals and one assist, and Brielle Bauman scored a goal and Emerson Gruver had an assist. Pioneers attack had nine shots on goal and ten draw controls. Also contributing to attack was Ashlyn Koelzer, Rylee Underwood, and Ella Weaver.
Pioneers goalie Jayda Godhania made five saves during the game. Pioneers had strong defense from Maddie Gendron, Maya Hannum, Beatriz Aranzana Perez, Avery Goldcamp and Reagan York. Pioneers outstanding defensive caused eleven turnovers. Pioneers had eighteen ground ball pick ups.
Pioneers overall record 14-2 and league 5-1, look forward to traveling to Villa Joseph Maria on Thursday to play non league game.
