Dock Tops Plumstead in a 5 Set Thriller
Dock traveled to Plumstead in a big district match to determine future seedings. Dock started out slow dropping the first set in extra points 24-26. But the young core of Dock responded with two big script flipping wins 25-17 and 25-14. After a late push in the 4th set Dock dropped it leading to a 5th set. Dock gripped a lead early and held on to close out the roaring gym in a strong win for the team. Dock hit their best game to date led by Hope Johnson setting a great offense all match with a career high 41 assists. Riley Gahman led the team with 28 digs making sure nothing hit the floor, and adding 15 big kills (.281) front row. Taelyn Landis found another gear and hit a career best 20 kills (.267) adding key service runs to lead the team. Dock found their groove and closed out a up and down game in a noisy atmosphere.
