Game date Thursday May 25   PIAA DI/A  Softball Championship Final score Dock 7 - Faith Christian 6 Dock matched up again for the 3rd time this year vs FC, but this time for District Championship and a chance to play in the state tournament. Dock found themselves down 3-0 until scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. The big blow this inning was the 1st of 3 singles by Trinity Landis scoring 2 runs.. Trinity's 3rd single came in the bottom of the 6th giving her 2 more RBI.  Faith wouldn't go away and scored 2 more in the 7th to make it 7-6,  but Aubrey Gahman was able to end the game with her 10th strikeout. Erin Miles and Gahman each scored 2 runs.  Gahman, Addison Landis, and  Lydia Ehst each had 1 hit. Dock softball will head back to the state tournament on Monday June 5th. More info to follow. Congratulations to all the Dock softball players !

Game date Tuesday 5/23 Final score   Dock 15 - Delco 0   Dock made quick work of Delco in 3 innings today moving on to Thursdays District Championship game. 4 runs in the 1st and 11 runs in the 2nd on 10 hits was all the fire power Dock needed. Erin Miles had 2 hits including a double, scored 3 times, walked and stole 2 bases. Addison Landis had 2 hits, walked and scored 3 times    Trinity Landis, the only senior on the current roster, had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Lianna Vargas had a double with 2 RBI and Eden Schrag had a hit, scored a run ,walked and had an RBI.  Aubrey Gahman gave up no hits pitching today for Dock while striking out 7. She was also 2 for 3 with a triple and scored 2 runs.   Game Thursday will be at Souderton HS, 3:30 start.  FYI - No bleachers at this field !

Game date May 15 Final score Dock 22 - Delco 0   Dock scored 12 runs in the 1st inning on just 4 hits and cruised to a win in game #1 of a rare doubleheader. Aubrey Gahman gave up no hits while striking out 8 as the pitcher in this game. Addison Landis scored 4 runs, walking in all 4 plate appearances. Gahman and Lydia Ehst had 2 hits with Ehst having a double and collecting 4 RBI. Erin Miles and Leah Al Laty smacked doubles and Sophia Mercure scored 3 times.  8 different players had at least 1 hit. Game #2 of the doubleheader was scheduled to start 15 minutes after game #1 was completed.

Pioneers Win: 22 - 6
Game date 5/15 Final score Dock 22 - Delco 6   Game #2 started out with a surprise for Erin Miles, who was asked to pitch game #2 today for her 1st varsity pitching appearance. Erin took it all in stride and pitched the 3 innings needed for the win. Dock banged out 20 hits over 3 innings including 12 extra base hits.  Addison Landis had 4 hits including a HR and a double. Aubrey Gahman had 4 hits and hit for the cycle. Miles had 3 hits with 2 doubles. Lydia Ehst had 3 hits with a HR. Leah AL Laty had 3 hits with a double and a triple. Sophia Mercure finished the game with a double and a triple. Leah AL Laty finished the day playing 2nd,3rd, and CF in todays doubleheader. Dock finished the regular season today with a 13-7 record and looks forward to next weeks District semifinal on Tuesday.

Game Date - Thursday May 11 Final Score Dock 8 - Faith Christian 4 Todays game at Faith had a post season feel with both teams looking forward to our 2nd meeting of the season. Dock gave up 2 runs in the 1st inning, but by the 6th inning had tied the score 3-3. Eden Schrag ripped a double in the 3rd inning ,moved to 3rd on a infield ground ball and scored on a wild pitch. Adelyn Clemmer worked a walk in the 5th and scored from 1st base on a double by Lianna Vargas. Aubrey Gahman smashed a triple in the 6th inning and scored on a double by Trinity Landis. The top of the 7th started with Clemmer getting her 2nd walk of the game. Dock then made the 1st and 2nd outs of the inning. Vargas collected her 2nd hit of the game and then the next 5 hitters all hit singles to blow the game open. Gahman, Landis, and Vargas ended the day with 2 hits each. Gahman gave up 5 hits and striking out 10. Dock will play a double header at home Monday vs Delco Christian to end the regular season. First game starts at 3:15. District 1/A playoff dates are May 23 and 25.

Game Date Tuesday May 9 Final Score Dock 15 - Plumstead Christian 0 Senior Recognition Game   Dock softball celebrated our 2 seniors, Katherine Kardos and Trinity Landis today before the start of our 2nd game against Plumstead Christian. Jay Gordon returned to be the MC for today's game and festivities. Great weather and a large crowd fueled the team as they began game # 17 of the season. Addison Landis again got things started with a double, her 1st of 4 hits today. She had 2 doubles with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Dock scored 7 runs in the 1st inning and cruised to a 4 inning win. Aubrey Gahman pitched the 1st 3 innings striking out 7. She had 2 doubles among her 3 hits, with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Senior fireballer Trinity Landis came in to pitch the 4th inning,  giving up 1 hit and striking out 1. Trinity had 2 hits.  Adelyn Clemmer and Eden Schrag also had 2 hits each.  The game ended in the bottom of the 4th when Leah Al-Laty crushed a sharp single to right centerfield for the walk off win.  Dock travels to Faith Christian on Thursday. This win gives head coach Wayne Benner 250 Career Wins with Dock Softball. Congratulations, Coach Benner!

Game Date Monday 5/8 Final Score Dock 20 - Plumstead Christian 0 Dock traveled to Plumstead Christian on Monday for the 1st of 2 match ups in 2 days. 14 hits over 3 innings was more than enough to secure the win. Addison Landis was 3 for 4 from the leadoff spot, with a double and 2 triples. She drove in 3 runs and scored 4 times. Pitcher Aubrey Gahman was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 triples, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Trinity Landis scored 3 runs and walked 3 times. Katherine Kardos and Erin Miles each had 2 hits. All 14 rostered players saw game time today. Gahman gave up 1 hit while striking out 8 over 3 innings. Plumstead will visit Dock tomorrow for Dock's Senior Recognition game at 4pm. We will be celebrating our 2 seniors, Katherine Kardos and Trinity Landis.

Game date   Friday May 5th Final Score     Dock 17 - Academy of the New Church 2   Game #4 in 4 days started out with a much longer than normal bus ride, getting the team to the field 15 minutes before game time. A decision was made by the team to skip any fielding or hitting practice and to start the game on time. Dock scored runs in all 4 innings needed, banging out 11 hits, while giving up just 5. Aubrey Gahman had 9 strikeouts and gave up just 1 walk for Dock in the pitching circle. Lydia Ehst scored 3 runs, had 2 walks,2 RBI on 2 hits including a monster triple to right field. Gahman joined in, scoring 4 runs, had 2 hits including a triple and had 5 RBI. Addison Landis had 3 hits and 3 runs scored. Adelyn Clemmer had 2 hits and a walk and Lianna Vargas had a hit and 2 walks. Trinity Landis had a hit, walk and 2RBI with 2 runs scored and a sacrifice fly. Eden Schrag had the 2nd sacrifice fly of the day. It was a total team effort to finish out the week. Next week starts at Plumstead Christian on Monday followed by Plumstead visiting Dock on Tuesday for our Senior Recognition game.

Pioneers Win: 19 - 0
Dock softball 19 - The Christian Academy 0 Dock made quick work of TCA today going the minimum 3 innings. Aubrey Gahman threw a perfect game over the 3 innings with 6 strikeouts and facing the minimum 9 batters. She threw only 32 pitches to get the win. Dock's catcher Erin Miles continued her hot streak going 3 for 3 with a walk and 4 runs scored. She also made a nice play defensively, catching a tough pop foul ball in the 2nd inning. Lydia Ehst scored 3 runs, and Adelyn Clemmer had 3 hits and 3 RBI. Gahman was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles ,a triple, and 6 RBI. Addison Landis scored 4 runs with a hit and 2 walks. Dock will play its 4th game in 4 days tomorrow, Friday, May 5 at The Academy of the New Church 4pm.

Pioneers Win: 25 - 4
Game date - Wednesday May 3rd    Dock softball 25 - Morrisville 4   On a rainy, cold, muddy field in Morrisville, Dock scored early and often.   10 runs in the 1st inning on 4 hits, 2 by Erin Miles along with 5 walks got the ball rolling.   Dock scored 3 in the 2nd inning to go up 13-4 at the end of 2 innings. Dock scored another 12 runs in the 3rd on 8 hits and 5 more walks. The big blows were 2 HR by Aubrey Gahman. #1 was an inside the park HR and the 2nd was a no doubter over the left field fence. Gahman finished the day 3 for 3 with 4 runs scored and 6 RBI.   Miles was 3 for 3 with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI. Lydia Ehst scored 3 runs, Lianna Vargas scored 3, and Eden Schrag scored 3 and had 3 RBI. Leah Al Laty had a hit along with 2 walks scoring 2 times.    Trinity Landis pitched the 3 innings needed, giving up 2 hits and striking out 2.   Game 3 of the week is Thursday May 4th at The Christian Academy.

Dock softball 7 - Bristol 10   Dock faced off against rival Bristol and after just 2 innings was up 7-0. The big blow was a bases clearing double by Lydia Ehst in the bottom of the 2nd.   Bristol fought back, scoring 10 unanswered runs over the last 5 innings.  Aubrey Gahman had 14 strikeouts pitching for Dock with only 1 walk. Gahman had 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Katherine Kardos was on base 3 times with 2 hits including a double and a walk. Trinity Landis and Erin Miles each had 1 hit.   Dock travels to Morrisville on Wednesday.

Dock softball puts away Lincoln Leadership Academy early.   Dock scored 13 runs, sending 16 batters to the plate in the 1st inning to put this game away early.    Trinity Landis was in total control on the mound for Dock. She gave up no runs and no hits. Landis struck out 4 over 3 innings a gave up just 1 walk. Landis also had quite a day at the plate with 3 hits including a 3 run HR, 2 runs scored and 5 RBI.   Addison Landis had a hit, walk and 3 runs scored and 3 RBI. Erin Miles scored 3 times on 3 walks. Lydia Ehst started her 1st game behind the plate and had 3 walks and a run scored. Adelyn Clemmer had a double, walk and 2 runs scored.   Dock travels to Calvery Christian tomorrow.

Dock softball falls to Renaissance Academy  Final score    RA 12- Dock 6   After 2 full innings on Thursday, Dock was up 5-4. They could only manage to score 1 more run in the 5th while RA had 8 additional runners cross the plate over the last 5 innings.  Aubrey Gahman had 3 hits including a triple along with 3 RBI. Trinity Landis and Addison Landis had 2 hits each and a combined 4 stolen bases. Erin Miles had a hit, scored 2 runs and had the only walk for Dock. Sophia Mercure had a hit, run scored and a stolen base.    Next up for Dock is a home game vs The Christian Academy to finish the week.

Gahman throws complete game shutout in 7-0 win vs MaST Charter   Aubrey Gahman struck out a career high 15 batters in Tuesday's game at MaST Charter. She becomes just the 4th Dock pitcher to ever record 15 or more strikeouts in a game. Gahman also led off the top of the 3 run third inning with a stand up triple and finished the game with 2 hits .  Erin Miles had 2 hits, a sacrifice bunt and picked a runner off of 1st base in the bottom of the 7th inning. Trinity Landis had 2 walks and a sacrifice fly. Eden Schrag had a hit, walk, and a stolen base. Addison Landis was on base 3 times with a hit and 2 walks from the leadoff spot.   Dock will face off vs Renaissance Academy Thursday at home.

Pioneers Lose: 5 - 8
Gwynedd Mercy 8 - Dock 5   Dock once again looked strong for most of todays game only to have a rough 6th inning cost them a win.   Dock was up 3-1 after 5 full innings. GM had 1 run on just 1 hit. Dock  scored their 2nd and 3rd  runs on a 2 out, 2 RBI double by freshman shortstop Addison Landis.  9 batters came to the plate for GM in the 6th inning with 6 crossing the plate making it 7-3.  Dock rallied for 2 runs late in the 7th but came up short.   Trinity Landis had 2 hits, a run scored, and an RBI. Eden Schrag collected a hit and Sophia Mercure had 2 walks.   Aubrey Gahman pitched a tough game giving up just 4 hits and striking out 6 batters.

Pioneers Lose: 4 - 5
Upper Moreland 5- Dock 4 Dock once again came out strong against another larger, non-league team this time vs Upper Moreland. Aubrey Gahman gave up no runs and  just 1 hit through the 1st 4 innings.  Dock had 4 runs on 6 hits through the first 3 innings. Dock then went thru the last 4 innings with no runs and no hits, while UM turned the game around scoring 5 runs on 8 singles in the final 3 innings. Gahman finished the game with 8 strikeouts and no walks. Addison Landis was 1 for 4 with 2 R scored. Gahman had 2 hits with a R and an RBI. Erin Miles, Katherine Kardos, Adelyn Clemmer, and Trinity Landis had 1 hit each. Dock's final game prior to Easter Break is scheduled for Thursday 4:00pm at home vs Gwynedd Mercy.

Pioneers Win: 8 - 2
Dock softball wins in their first league game of the 2023 season.  Dock softball won at home today vs Faith Christian 8-2. Dock scored 2 runs in the 1st inning on a hit by Erin Miles, a double by Aubrey Gahman and a single by Adelyn Clemmer. Dock added another 4 runs in the 4th inning on 2 hits. A double by Lydia Ehst and a single by Lianna Vargas. Aubrey Gahman struck out 13 and carried a no hitter into the 6th inning, giving up just 2 singles on the day. Dock had 8 hits total in the game with Gahman and Vargas collecting 2 hits each. Ehst and Vargas were on base 3 times each and Miles scored 3 runs.  Sophia Mercure played a nice game at 3rd with 3 clean plays on bunted balls her way. Next week brings 2 non-league games prior to Easter Break. Tuesday 4/4 Dock hosts Upper Moreland at 4:00pm.

Pioneers Win: 16 - 1
Dock softball rolls to 16-1 win over The Christian Academy   Dock pounded out 12 hits and scored 12 in the 1st inning and cruised to a win in this game. 16 batters came to the plate this inning.  Erin Miles and Addison Landis had 2 singles each in the 1st inning.   Aubrey Gahman had 2 hits in the 1st including a 3 run HR. Adelyn Clemmer had a double and triple in the 12 run 1st inning. Dock scored 3 more in the 2nd with Miles and Gahman both getting their 3rd hits. Dock closed it out in the bottom of the 4th when Lydia Ehst hit an RBI single, her 2nd hit and 2nd RBI of the game. Leah Al-Laty had a 2 hit day including a double and 2 RBI. Erin Miles and Addison Landis finished the day with a combined 7 runs scored.   Trinity Landis was the winning pitcher, with 6 strikeouts, no walks, allowing just 3 hits.   Next week Dock has 4 games on the schedule. Monday's game is home vs Lincoln Leadership Academy.

Pioneers Lose: 3 - 6
Dock lost a heartbreaker today to Lansdale Catholic. Giving up 5 runs and the lead in the top of the 7th inning was not the ending we were looking for. Aubrey Gahman led her team from the mound and in the batters box. She gave up just 5 hits while striking out a career high 13 batters. At the plate she had 3 hits including a triple with 2 RBI. Addison Landis had 2 hits and Trinity Landis had a hit and a stolen base. Eden Schrag scored 2 runs for Dock. Back at it Friday for our first league game at home vs The Christian Academy. Thanks for a great group of fans!

Pioneers Lose: -
Dock  traveled  to Lower Moreland on Monday and came home with their first win.   Aubrey Gahman pitched well thru the first 4 innings giving up just 1 hit while striking out 7. Trinity Landis came on and pitched the last 3 innings giving up just 2 hits in relief.   Addison Landis and Erin Miles had 3 hits each from the top off the line-up along with a total of 5 RBI. Landis and Lydia Ehst both had doubles. The team collected 10 hits along with 5 walks.   We are looking forward to our first 2 home games later this week.

Pioneers Lose: 2 - 6
Dock opened the regular season with a non-league game at Upper Dublin. With the score tied 1-1in the 2nd inning Upper Dublin scored 2 more runs to take the lead and then added 3 runs in the last 2 innings. Dock scored just 1 more run in the 6th inning on a ground out by Erin Miles. Addison Landis had 2 hits and a walk. Aubrey Gahman and Trinity Landis had 1 hit each. Gahman had 10 strike outs in the season opener. The team is looking forward to playing 3 games next week.
