Biography:
As a former Dock boys basketball student-athlete (2014-2018) under Mike Fergus, Mizz is excited to learn and grow as a coach under Coach Fergus' leadership. While at Dock, Mizz led the team to its first BAL Tournament Championship and was awarded the Outstanding Athletic Achievement Award for Boys Basketball. Mizz attended Eastern Mennonite University where he played on the Men's basketball team and was named captain as a sophomore through his senior year. There he earned a bachelor's degree in Recreation and Sports Management. He then went on to play a year at Cairn University in Langhorne PA, studying Organizational leadership. Mizz brings a ton of experience and enthusiasm to the team and is excited to give back to the Dock community.
Rob Sukaly.

Biography:
Coach Rob Sukaly has 12 years of basketball coaching and player development experience. He has also handled strength and conditioning responsibilities at Dock Menonite Academy and Rosemont College for basketball. Prior to coaching at Dock, Rob coached AAU basketball with the Collegeville Jaguars (Middle School) and PSB Philly (High School). A former high school and college player, Rob has been an Elementary School Teacher in the Pennridge School District for 27 years. After watching his son Robbie play for Coach Fergus and Dock Mennonite, he is very excited to be a part of the Dock coaching staff.

Sam Freeburn.

Biography:
Coach Sam Freeburn has 10 years of basketball coaching and player development experience. A Harrisburg native, he’s worked with programs at Susquenita High School (JV Head Coach & Varsity Assistant), Red Land, Cumberland Valley Middle School, and Central Dauphin Youth. On the AAU circuit, Sam led Team Pennsylvania 17U Class of 2025, helping produce eight college athletes, and now serves as Head Coach for Central PA Elite’s MADE Hoops Circuit team and coaches with Next Play AAU.
Biography:
Longevity and success have marked Dock Head Basketball Coach Mike Fergus’ 48 year coaching journey. In his 11 seasons as Dock Head Coach the Pioneers have won 7 BAL Regular Season League Championships, 3 BAL Post Season Tourney Championships, 3 District One Championships, made the PIAA State Tournament 8 times, and made two Elite Eight appearances in the PIAA State Basketball Tournament. Last season he won his 200th game as Dock Head Coach and he has won over 100 games at 4 different high schools. He enters this season 11 games short of the 700 career win mark. He also has spent 5 years coaching at the college level. Fergus played collegiately at Indiana University of PA, and Penn State University. He preaches teamwork, conditioning, and fundamentals-especially defense. Fergus is a retired Health and PE teacher and he and his wife Alicia have four adult daughters and two Grandchildren. He enjoys reading (especially history) and running.
Marcus Etheridge.
Varsity Assistant Coach
Biography:
With over 11 years of coaching experience, Marcus Etheridge has built a successful career in high school basketball, serving as a head assistant coach for boys' varsity teams at both Kennett Square High School and Dock Mennonite High School. Throughout his coaching tenure, he has led his teams to multiple league and district championships, developing a reputation for nurturing talent, instilling discipline, and promoting teamwork.
Before coaching, Marcus Etheridge was a standout player, having played high school basketball at North Penn High School and continuing his athletic career at Alvernia University, where he showcased his skills on the court at the collegiate level. His playing experience gives him a unique understanding of player development, which he brings to his coaching philosophy.
In addition to his high school coaching roles, Marcus Etheridge also served as an assistant coach for the Cheyney University Women’s Basketball program, where he further honed his coaching techniques and broadened his understanding of the game from a collegiate perspective.
Whether on the court or from the sidelines,Marcus Etheridge has always been committed to fostering a positive and competitive environment for young athletes, shaping not just basketball players, but well-rounded individuals.
