The Lady Pioneers started the New Year off with an 8-point victory that featured seven different players who scored in the BAL contest.

Three of Dock’s scorers contributed at least 7 points (Senior Captain, Brooke Bozarth – 8, Junior Guard, Alyse Sobetsky – 8 & Senior Captain, Kate Strickland – 7).

Both teams traded baskets throughout the first, which led to the visitors claiming a 2-point lead (9-7) after the conclusion of the quarter.

Despite being down early, Dock picked up its defensive intensity, holding Morrisville to 3 points total, while scoring 16 of its own points to take a 23 to 12 lead at the half.

Bozarth led all scorers with 6 at halftime.

The scoring halted in the 3rd, but the Lady Pioneers kept defending as if they were down, which helped extend the lead to 13 going into the final quarter.

Morrisville made a late run in the 4th, but to no prevail.

Dock cruised to a 32 – 24 win to start off 2019.
