The Lady Pioneers started off hot, scoring 8 quick points led by their three captains: junior Kate Strickland (four), senior Carsyn McCloskey & junior Brooke Bozarth each had two points.

The scoring picked up in the second as Dock hit two 3-pointers en route to a 20 to 14 lead at halftime on the road against a feisty Plumstead Christian squad.

In the second half the tables turned quicker than we could switch courts to shoot on. Plumstead’s feistiness and unwillingness to quit served to be too much for Dock as the home team went on a 6 to 0 run gaining 26 to 23 advantage heading into the final frame.

The Lady Pioneers fought to the end, but the basket was not too friendly during the second half as they shot 3 for 16 and committed costly 4th quarter turnovers, which led to an eventual 40 to 31 defeat.

Strickland led the way with 11, McCloskey & Bozarth pitched in with 9pts each & freshman forward Jocelyn Pfleiger had two points.
