Dock girls came out strong and ready to play after a rested weekend. They started the first half dominating, winning balls in the air and connecting some great plays. Brooke Bozarth had well communicated plays to her teammates as she sent two beautiful through balls past Pottstown defense for our offensive player Peyton Scialanca to run onto, leaving both plays a one on one with the keeper, with confidence Peyton Scialanca sent them both in the back of the net leading the team 2-0 by half time. Come the second half Dock’s energy levels and aggression were not as high causing Pottstown to create some close plays against us. Laura Frederick had a couple good saves for Dock this game. Pottstown was able to score one in the second half on a breakaway. Aside from this Dock’s defense was strong, they worked together to cover for each other and have little get by them. Dock has a big week ahead of them as they have two more games. They will be playing at Philadelphia Mont Christian Academy Tuesday @ 4pm.
