The Dock Mennonite Pioneers Baseball celebrated its seniors today prior to game, as eight seniors were honored by the school for their athletic achievement this season. Docks seniors came up in a big way today in the game. After Keller singled into a fielder’s choice in the first inning, bringing home Fisher for the game’s first run, the bats went quiet until the sixth inning eruption. The Sixth started with an RBI single by Nolan Bolton on a hit and run to right center, giving Moyer the chance to score. After loading the bases with two out, Michael Chavez was hit by a pitch, driving home the third run of the game. Andrew Bean would singe home two more runs after Chavez reached base, setting the stage for Jon Nash. With two strikes on him, Nash roped a line drive single through the right side of the infield to bring home Chavez and open the game up to 6-0. Fisher would double home Bean, then Moyer would bring home both Nash and Fisher with a single to left. After a Bolton walk, Mason Keller capped off his 3 hit performance witha game-ending double to left-center. Mason Fisher was credited with the win on the mound, as he, Bolton, and both Moyers combied for the shutout, allowing a combined 1 hit, no walks, and 9 strikeouts. The Pioneers travel to cross-town rival Souderton for a non-conference matchup friday in Harleysville at 4pm.
