March 28, 2025 – Dock Mennonite Academy High School is excited to announce Christopher Askew as our new Boys Soccer Varsity Head Coach. A passionate and experienced coach with competitive youth soccer experience, Askew brings a dynamic, player-focused approach to lead Dock's Boys Soccer program.
Askew spent over three years in Brazil with XV Uber FC, a professional development club competing in the first division of the Campeonato Mineiro. As Head Coach of the U15 and U20 teams, he implemented an exciting, high-attacking style of play, emphasizing the individual strengths of his players. In his final season with XV Uber FC, his teams scored 62 goals while conceding only 25 across all competitions. Additionally, Askew served as a tactical analyst for the U15, U17, and U20 squads, introducing a data-driven approach to player development to set individualized training plans.
Currently, Askew coaches for local travel soccer club PA Rush. His 3 PA Rush teams have achieved strong results, reaching the finals in 4 out of 7 tournaments. His earlier experience includes a stint as Head Coach with Escolinha do Gremio Youth Academy in Uberlandia, Brazil.
Askew holds a B License from the Asociación de Técnicos del Fútbol Argentino (ATFA), recognized by CONMEBOL and UEFA, and a Tactical Analysis certification from FC Barcelona’s Barça Innovation Hub. Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, he brings a global perspective to his coaching philosophy.
From Askew, “I’m honored to join Dock Mennonite Academy and serve our Boys Soccer student-athletes. My goal is to inspire them as individuals to become the best version of themselves through the game of soccer."
