On Monday, March 27, we had an afternoon game against non-league Sacred Heart Academy, Pioneers won 3-0. During our warm-up it started to drizzle, and ended up starting to rain, by game time it was raining pretty steady, but that didn't slow down the Pioneers who were ready and focused on the game
Pioneers scored in the first 24 seconds of the game, and continued to put on the pressure. Pioneers had goals from three different players, it was a very offensive game. Abby Mellinger scored a goal and had one assist during the game, Tess Bergey scored a goal, and YeBeen Lee scored a goal as well. Ana Clara Lima had an assist, along with Olivia Zaskoda had an assist as well.
Dock won four draws from the start of the game and also had one ground ball pick up. Dock put on pressure early in the game and never let up. Unfortunately as the game continued we had thunder and lighting in the area along with down pouring rain, and we ended up heading inside to Rosenberger to wait out the storm. We ended up celebrating together the win and a birthday!
Dock record - 2-1 overall, next game is tomorrow - Tuesday @ 7pm - night game vs Jenkintown - league game
