On a beautiful evening, the Pioneers of Dock Mennonite Academy hosted non league opponent Academy of New Church, Pioneers lost nine to fourteen.
Pioneers started strong tonight, taking an early lead. Pioneers attack was led by Sophia Veltre with four goals, Bailor White with three goals, Emily Markel with one goal and one assist, and Aubrey Clemmer with a goal and as assist. Strong attack from Lily Hunsberger, Brielle Bauman, Lola Mariner, and Alyssa Clemmer.
Pioneers goalie Ashlyn Koelzer with four saves. Strong defense from Amanda Moyer, Jenna Detweiler, Maddie Gendron, Avery Goldcamp, Maya Hannum, and Rylee Underwood. Defense caused two turnovers during the game.
Pioneers had twenty four ground ball pick ups, ten draw controls, and fifteen shots on goal. Pioneers are continuing to improve and looking forward to our next game, on Tuesday versus league opponent, DELCO Christian @ 3:45pm.
