On a beautiful Tuesday afternoon, the Pioneers of Dock Mennonite Academy traveled to league opponent Delco Christian for a 3:45pm game time, Pioneers won fourteen to eleven.
Pioneers outstanding teamwork was demonstrated in today's match up. Pioneers had twenty five shots on goal, sixteen draw possessions, and nineteen ground ball pick-ups.
Pioneers attack was led by Sophia Veltre with six goals and two assists, Bailor White scored three goals and one assist, Beylse Landis scored two goals and one assist, Emily Markel also scored a goal, Emerson Gruver scored a goal, and Jenna Detweiler scored a goal. Pioneers Brielle Bauman, Lily Hunsberger, and Aubrey Clemmer also contributed to setting up the attack today. Pioneers had four eight meter shots.
Pioneers goalie Rylee Underwood had five saves today in goal, and came up big when the pressure was on. Pioneers defensive caused three turnovers. Strong defensive from Jenna Detweiler with constant communication, Amanda Moyer, Maddie Gendron and Avery Goldcamp.
Pioneers have continued to play well together and work hard no matter what situation arises in games, this fierce approach and never giving up, has continued to lead our success, both on and off the field. Pioneers are undefeated in league play and are looking forward to our next game on Thursday when we travel to United Sports in Downingtown to face league opponent Collegium Charter for a 3:30pm game time start.
Pioneers overall record is 5-6 and BAL is 3-0
