On a Thursday afternoon the Pioneers of Dock Mennonite Academy traveled to league opponent, Collegium Charter, and won 8 to 2. The game was played at United Sports in Downingtown. As the sun was shining, so were the Pioneers!
Pioneers attack was led by Sophia Veltre with three goals and two assists, Bailor White scored three goals, Beylse Landis scored a goal and had an assist and Jenna Detweiler also scored a goal. Strong attack from Lily Hunsberger, Emerson Gruver, Emily Markel and Brielle Bauman. The Pioneers had twenty two shots on goal, fourteen ground ball pick ups and twelve draw control possessions.
Pioneers goalie Rylee Underwood had two saves and an interception during the game. Pioneers had strong defensive from Jenna Detweiler, Amanda Moyer, Maddie Gendron, Aubrey Clemmer, and Avery Goldcamp. Pioneers defense caused one turnover during the game.
Pioneers have continued to play strong together and looking forward to our next league game on Tuesday vs Jenkintown, home with Varsity game starting at 3:45pm and JV game at 5pm.
Pioneers overall record is 6-6 and BAL 4-0, Pioneers remain undefeated in league play.
