On a warm and sunny afternoon, the Pioneers of Dock Mennonite Academy hosted league opponent Jenkintown, and won 12 to 8.
Pioneers attack was led by Bailor White who scored 4 goals and 2 assists, Sophia Veltre who had 3 goals and 2 assists, Emily Markel scored a goal, Avery Goldcamp scored a goal and an assist, Maddie Gendron scored a goal and assist and Beylse Landis scored a goal.
Pioneers had 20 shots on goal, 19 ground ball pick ups, and 15 draw control possessions. Attackers Lily Hunsberger, Aubrey Clemmer, and Emerson Gruver also contributed to the offensive during the game.
Pioneers defense was led by Rylee Underwood who made 4 saves during the game. Pioneers defense caused 4 turnovers. Strong defense was led by Jenna Detweiler, Amanda Moyer, Avery Goldcamp and Maddie Gendron.
Pioneers strong team chemistry and goal driven team has led to our success this season. Pioneers have secured our first BAL title with the win in lacrosse, and still are undefeated in the league and will finish league play with senior night against Collegium Charter next Tuesday night when they host at 7pm game time.
Pioneers look forward to next game on Thursday when they will travel to non league opponent Bensalem who will host us for a 5:30pm JV game and 7pm Varsity game.
