Academy Park - 6

On a beautiful sunny afternoon the Pioneers traveled to Academy Park HS where the Pioneers had an offensive goal scoring afternoon.  Pioneers received goals from nine different players on the team, both from attackers, midfielders and defenders.  Attacker Jenna Detweiler led with five goals, Abby Mellinger and Mary Ellen Picariello each had four goals.  Midfielder Tess Bergey had two goals and three assists and attacker Emerson Gruver had two goals.  Attackers Sophie Veltre and Emily Markel each had their first goals of the season.  Sophie also had an assist and Emily had two assists in the game. 

Defenders Olivia Veltre and Claudia Fernandez also each scored a goal. Goal keeper Jenayah Alvarado Vanegas saved five shots on the game and played very solid the whole game.  As a team, together we controlled sixteen draw controls, twenty ground ball pick ups, thirteen shots on goal, and had seven eight meter shots.  Pioneers are continuing to learn and grow and develop together as a team, this game showed our progress and how strong we are together as a team. 

Pioneers are looking forward to our next game on Tuesday away at Souderton, for a night game at 7pm
