On our first night game and opening season game for the Pioneers, nonleague game, on a hot and humid night, Pioneers hosted Upper Dublin on the Pioneers new turf, Pioneers strong outting held Upper Dublin to a tie zero - zero.
Strong offensive performance by forwards, Abby Herman, Mary-Ellen Picariello and Claire Nyce. Pioneers had three shots on goal and two offensive penalty corners. Pioneers also had outstanding midfield play from Daniella Slater-Miller, Brielle Bauman, Torra Landis and Natalie Fabrizio. Great passing combinations down the field.
Solid defensive work from Laura Charles, Millie Landis and Lydia Sensenig, with strong clears up the field, and defensive stops. Goalie Lily Kulp stopped all the shots, she saved three shots and communicated well from the goalie position. Newcomers Estella Youm and Nakiyah Jones also contributed to strong play of Pioneers for the night.
