Pioneers Field Hockey hosted Villa Joseph Marie in a non league match up and won one to zero. Pioneers sophomore, Brielle Bauman scored on a stroke in the fourth quarter with 7:28 left on the clock into the right corner and past the goalie.
Pioneers had fifteen shots on goal and ten offensive penalty corners. Pioneers goalie Lily Kulp made one save in the game. Outstanding passing combinations down the field helped the pioneers create a lot of attack. Forwards Mary Ellen Picariello, Brielle Bauman, and Abby Herman all got down the field in the offensive circle.
Midfielders Claire Nyce, Torra Landis, Nayikah Jones, and Natalie Fabrizio all contributed to strong play on the offensive and defensive sides of the field.
Defenders Laura Charles and Lydia Sensenig were strong in the defensive end. Pioneers are continuing to play strong together and securing wins together.
Pioneers next game is against the George School on Monday, September 30 at 5pm.
