On the Saturday of homecoming weekend, on a beautiful afternoon, Pioneers hosted non league opponent Souderton for a local match up. Pioneers lost five to zero.
Pioneers lone goal was scored in the second quarter by Brielle Bauman 1:15 (unassisted). Pioneers goalie Lily Kulp made thirteen saves in goal on the afternoon. Defender Lydia Sensenig made a defensive save in the game. The attack was led by Abby Herman, Kya Jones, and Brielle Bauman. Strong midfield play by Claire Nyce, Torra Landis, Daniella Slate-Miller and Ashlyn Koelzer. Solid defense by Laura Charles, Lydia Sensenig and Mille Landis.
Pioneers had one offensive penalty corner and two shots on goal. Pioneers played well together and will learn a lot from this game moving into the middle of the season. Our next game is played on the road, traveling to Bristol for a league match up on Wednesday with a 5pm start time.
Pioneers record is 3-3-1 overall.
