Four Dock athletes competed at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Saturday.
All four recorded personal records.
Daniel Ringenberg was the lone male competitor for the Pioneers. It was his first time competing on the Lehigh course since his freshman year, and the senior captain had the fastest race of his career to date. Ringenberg ran 17:52 to finish 121st out of 450 finishers in the Boys White Race. Over the second half of the race, Ringenberg passed 40 runners.
Marlyse Giesbrecht was strong start to finish in her second race of the season. The senior co-captain ran 22:12 to place 151st out of 370 finishers in the Girls White Race, a 30-second improvement over her previous best.
Bobby Jo Dodds was 20 seconds behind in 173rd place. The senior matched Giesbrecht with each passing 41 runners over the final half of the race. Her time was a jump of 1:22 from her PR set at the same course to end last year.
Sam Anderson continued her emergence in her first season of high school running. The sophomore ran 30:01 to slice nearly four minutes off her previous best.
Dock will compete again Monday in the Bicentennial Athletic League regular-season meet at Rose Tree Park.
