Dock’s cross country team braved a raw Monday afternoon in Media to compete in the second Bicentennial Athletic League regular season meet. Marlyse Giesbrecht took third place in the girls race at Rose Tree Park. The senior co-captain ran 24:04 and pulled away from her closest competitor over the final mile to pace the Pioneers. Sam Anderson finished 22nd. The sophomore in her first time at Rose Tree ran 34:20. In the earlier boys race, both Dock entries placed in the top 15. Daniel Ringenberg lowered his best time on the Rose Tree course to 18:46. The senior captain placed seventh overall. Aaron Sensenig returned from his international mini-term trip with a shiny new smile, and got back into racing with a 20:37 finish time for 15th place. Dock will host a mix of teams Oct. 11 at the Dock Invitational and celebrate its three seniors on Senior Night after the meet.
