Dock welcomed 13 teams to campus on Tuesday to compete in the Dock Invitational after which they celebrated Senior Night.

The trio of Dock seniors led the way for the Pioneers in the race. For the boys, Daniel Ringenberg ran 18:42.17 for 14th place in a competitive field. Ringenberg, a captain this year, was honored after the meet as the only four-year member of the Pioneers program.

Aaron Sensenig just missed a Top-20 finish. The sophomore ran 19:54.16 to place 21st overall among boys.
Two seniors, Marlyse Giesbrecht and Bobby Jo Dodds, paced each other to strong finishes in the girls race. Giesbrecht placed third in 22:49.94, her second-best time of the season. Dodds came in just behind in fourth in 22:52.03. Dodds’ time was 1 minute, 39 seconds better than she ran on the same course at the start of September. Giesbrecht and Dodds are both in their second seasons in the program.

Dock will compete in the Ekiden Relay at Bristol on Friday. Runners will compete there in teams of two over the 5k course.
