The Pioneers secured a victory on a beautiful afternoon at Mainland GC, defeating the Collegium Charter Cougars 222-253. This score marks a new season low for the Pioneers, improving by 12 shots over their previous best at Mainland. The entire roster showed improvement, which is great to see.
Junior Co-Captain Cal Hackett led the team with his personal best this season, shooting an impressive 3-over-par 38. Sophomore Jackson Korne also posted his personal best, improving by 3 shots overall and by 6 shots at Mainland, with a strong 40. Well done, Cal and Jackson!
Senior Co-Captain Zeke Longacre bettered his season average with a 44. Zeke remains a consistent contributor and leader in every match. Logan Sell had his best round of the fall season, scoring 47, showing noticeable improvement with every match. No one works harder on their game than Logan—keep it up!
Isaiah Giesbrecht had an up-and-down round, with his putter giving him trouble, but he still managed to contribute to the team score. Our freshman duo, Graham Landes and Connor Jones, have been making steady progress, and their scores will soon reflect their hard work. Keep at it, boys!
Freshman Steve Archer made his season debut, getting a taste of tournament play for the first time. He gained valuable experience, which will serve him well as he continues to grow.
