Tri-Match: Dock Academy vs. Christian School of York vs. Coventry Christian 9/12
The Pioneers traveled to Twin Ponds Golf Course in Gilbertsville for a tri-match against two non-league schools. Dock Academy emerged victorious with a 4-player total score of 179, while Christian School of York posted 219. Coventry Christian was unable to record a team total, as they had fewer than four players.
This match provided valuable experience, especially since most of the players were unfamiliar with the course. Junior Cal Hackett led the team with a score of 41, followed by strong rounds from Zeke Longacre (45), Logan Sell (46), and Jackson Korne (47).
Isaiah Giesbrecht, Nate Martiello, Connor Jones, and Graham Landes also competed, but their scores did not count towards the team total.
The team is starting to see more birdies and pars, but mistakes around the greens continue to prevent lower scores. The Pioneers have three important matches coming up next week, including opportunities to avenge earlier losses against Delaware County Christian and Faith Christian, as well as an away match against MaST Community Charter.
