The Dock Pioneers secured a narrow victory over The Church Farm School Griffins, winning 218-226 at Ingleside Golf Course. In a closely contested match, the Pioneers displayed resilience and teamwork, edging out the Griffins by just eight strokes.
The Pioneers were led by Senior Co-Captain Zeke Longacre, who posted his season-low of 37. Zeke has shown steady improvement all year, recording his two lowest scores of the season in the last three matches. Junior Co-Captain Cal Hackett followed with a 43, slightly higher than his season average. Cal has remained steady all year, consistently posting low scores every week.
Sophomore Nate Martiello came in third with a 45. This is a great improvement for Nate, as it was only his second match of the fall season. Nate has shown lots of potential on the practice range, and it’s great to see him translate that onto the course—well done, Nate!
Senior Logan Sell posted a 46, coming in under his season average and continuing his consistent improvement throughout the year. Freshman Connor Jones posted his lowest round of the fall season with a 47, beating his previous best by three strokes. Seniors Isaiah Giesbrecht and Freshmen Graham Landes and Steve Archer also played in the match, but their scores did not count towards the team total.
The Pioneers will wrap up the 2024 season on October 3rd, once again at Ingleside Golf Course, facing Collegium Charter School.
