In the final match of the season, the Dock Pioneers secured a narrow victory over Collegium Charter School, 218-225, at Ingleside Golf Course. This strong team performance brought their season record to an impressive 9-4, a fitting way to close out the year.
The Pioneers were led by Junior Co-Captain Cal Hackett, who posted a 38. Cal has been a steady leader throughout the season, maintaining a season average of 41.0. Senior Co-Captain Zeke Longacre followed closely with a solid 40, marking one of his best performances of the season. Zeke’s consistency earned him the second-lowest season average on the team.
Senior Logan Sell contributed a 45, coming in three strokes under his season average. Senior Isaiah Giesbrecht added a 47, continuing his role as a reliable team contributor. Freshman Connor Jones rounded out the team’s top five with a 48, showing steady improvement throughout the season, particularly in the later matches.
While Nate Martiello, Graham Landes, and Eric Hand also competed, their scores did not count towards the team total.
With this victory, the Pioneers conclude their 2024 season. The team's progress and improvement in their overall performance from the start of the year are commendable. A special acknowledgment goes to our four seniors—Zeke, Logan, Isaiah, and Eric—for their dedication and leadership. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors and hope they leave with pride in their time on the Dock Pioneer Golf Team.
