Dock Wins First Round of States Tournament
Dock entered the first round with expectations to win. Holy Redeemer has been a rival over the past 5 years, knocking Dock out of the tournament twice. But not this time. Dock controlled the net most of the match and walked away with a 3-0 win. Set scores were 25-14, 25-11, and 25-21.
The team was lead by Anthony Bernardo with team high 10 kills and team high 5 aces as well as 5 digs and 1 block. The team totaled 36 kills spread across the net along with 8 blocks. Dock had 23 digs behind the strong net presence, helping to seal the win.
Second round is Saturday and we look forward to a great match with Exeter. Time and location to be determined.
