Dock Open Season With Win
It was not strange to travel to Avon Grove but this year, for the first time in over twenty years, this match was non-league. With the new league alignment, Dock and Avon Grove met for an opener to our seasons as old rivals only. Dock had some great introductions to new varsity athletes during this match. Gage White had 7 kills and 1 block, Micah Emr had 6 kills and 1 block, as these two new varsity athletes proved their worth. The two returning varsity players were the dominant presence we expected; Justin Panaia lead the team with 12 kills, 6 digs, and 1 block along with Stellan Derstine's leading defense with 11 digs and a 2.3 passer rating.
