Boys Varsity Track vs. Multiple Opponents

The Bicentennial Athletic League turned out for the Tom Putera Invitational at Dock on Saturday.
The meet, named in honor of the former Dock assistant coach and parent, was held under gray skies, but the Pioneers took a step forward with some promising performances.
Luke Smeland highlighted the throwers. He picked up a second and third place. The senior captain was second in the boys javelin with a throw of 129-7.5, just off his personal best. He had a personal best of 33-3.25 for third in the boys shot put. He also threw a PR of 85-feet-2.5 in the boys discus.
Roman Kurian hit a personal record 51.14 seconds for second place in the boys 300 hurdles.
Xander Morsby was the top Dock finisher in the boys triple jump at 37-3.5, good for third place overall. Morsby ran 12.25 seconds for fifth in the boys 100-meter dash. Myles Johnson ran 13.02.
Bennett Briggs placed seventh in the boys 400 meters in a personal best 57.62 seconds. Cade Jackson ran 1:00.78 and Snedigar ran a best of 1:03.75. Briggs was sixth in the boys high jump with a 5-feet clearance.
In the boys long jump, Johnson hit 15-7.25 and Jackson went 15-4.5. Isaac Snedigar clocked 29.05 seconds in the boys 200 meters.
The Dock 4x100 of Kurian, Johnson, Morsby and Briggs ran 46.95 seconds. The boys 4x400 relay of Briggs, Morsby, Jackson and Kurian ran 3:58.56 for fourth place.
The Pioneers are scheduled to compete Friday in the John Heins Invitational at Upper Moreland.
