Girls Varsity Track vs. Multiple Opponents

The Bicentennial Athletic League turned out for the Tom Putera Invitational at Dock on Saturday.
The meet, named in honor of the former Dock assistant coach and parent, was held under gray skies, but the Pioneers took a step forward with some promising performances.
The girls 4x800 relay of Tessa Moyer, Lydia Sensenig, Claire Nyce and Sadie Bernd ran a season-best 11:08.36 to win the first event of the day on the track.
Lily Price ran a personal-record 19.90 seconds to win the girls 100-meter hurdles. Lizzie Kennard-Chalmers was third in 22.13 seconds, a personal best. Price was second in the girls 300 hurdles in 53.98, just off her best. Lizzie Kennard-Chalmers ran 1:03.58 and Logan Naidoo ran 1:06.73.
Price cleared 6-feet-6 for second place in the girls pole vault. Naidoo threw 53-3 in the girls discus. Bernd threw 51-6 in the girls javelin.
Neva Peterson ran 2:53.03 for second in the girls 800 meters. Claire Nyce was third in 2:54.34.
Moyer had a season-best 5:55.35 in the girls 1,600 meters. Peterson had a personal best of 6:22.44 and Sensenig ran 6:28.80 in her race at that distance in high school. Moyer came back to run 13:31.43 in the 3,200 meters.
Cianna Thompson ran 16.39 seconds and Logan Naidoo ran 16.42 in the girls 100 meters.
The girls 4x400 of Sensenig, Moyer, Bernd and Price ran 4:57.92 seconds. Nyce, Peterson, Thompson and Naidoo ran 5:21.10.
The Pioneers are scheduled to compete Friday in the John Heins Invitational at Upper Moreland.
