Pioneers Win: 12.00 - 0.00
Boys Soccer Wins 5th of the Year The Dock Boys Soccer team traveled to Flourtown on Wednesday to take on conference foes Phil-Mont Christian Academy.  Going into the game, there was an understanding between Coach Matt Moyer and players that unexpected opportunities would be given to many of the young guys on the roster due to 4 senior starters being unavailable for the game.  The youthful group that took the field did not disappoint.  Dock would end up seeing 9 different players score during the 12-0 victory.  As impressive as the offensive front was, it may have been the backfield that turned the most heads. Anchoring the backline was junior Nate Lacher who also served as captain for the day.  His move from the midfield to center back provided Dock with some much needed experience and leadership.  He was joined by sophomores Wyatt Barr, Andrew Silva and Eli Landes in the backfield.  The young trio played big minutes and provided Dock with a consistent cushion in the back. The clean sheet was preserved by Kratz Bros. Inc. as Brayden and Ethan each played a half on the day.   The Boys Soccer will be back in action on Friday, September 15th as they host TCA.  Kickoff is at 7pm.   Goals: Colom(4), Cho, Kostler, Landes, DaCosta, Derstine, Brown, Blum, Jackson Assists: DaCosta(2), Derstine, Brown, Stoner, Pustay Clean Sheet: B. Kratz, E. Kratz

Pioneers Win: 6.00 - 1.00
Boys Soccer Rolls 6-1 The Dock Boys Soccer team traveled to the Penn Fusion complex on Monday to play Collegium Charter.  While shots were plentiful for Dock, they had a tough time converting early chances.  However, the scoreless streak was snapped when Victor Colom slotted in a pass from Justin Detweiler to go up 1-0.  Minutes later the pair performed an encore performance as Detweiler found Colom on a through pass taking the Pioneers into halftime with a 2-0 lead.  In the 2nd half Colom found the net for the 3rd time as he received a pass from Nate Lacher to go up 3-0.  Colom returned the favor later in the half as he found Lacher for his 2nd goal of the season to go up 4-0.  Colom continued adding to the Dock offense late game as he found Stellan Derstine to put Dock up 5-1.  Derstine returned the favor with just minutes left to put Dock up for a final of 6-1.  Brayden Kratz played a great in between the posts for the Pioneers, making big saves for his team.  The boys are back in action on Wednesday, September 13th at Phil-Mont Christian.  The game will be a 4pm kickoff.  This Friday the boys will be back at home when they take on The Christian Academy.  Kickoff will be at 7pm.  Hope to see you there. Boys Soccer Wins 3rd in a Row  The Boys Soccer team traveled to Chester County to face Renaissance Academy, a team coming off a 12-4 win over Pottstown.  However, it was Dock who was doing the scoring in this particular matchup.  Freshman Josh Cespedes got the Pioneers going early when he put away a Stellan Derstine through ball to put Dock up 1-0.  Derstine continued to show his play making ability as he took Dock corner that was headed home by Justin Detweiler to put Dock up 2-0.  In the 2nd half Dom Brown got the attack going for Dock as he found Andrew Silva on his left for his 1st of the year and Dock’s 3rd goal.  Dock converted their 4th of the day as Nate Lacher found Sam DeCosta for his 1st goal of the year.  The boys will be back in action on Wednesday, September 6th as they take on Holy Ghost Prep at home. Pioneers Win: 3.00 - 1.00
Dock Wins 2nd of the Year Dock Mennonite’s Boys Soccer hosted Calvary Baptist in a matchup of teams that are separated by less than 3 miles.  There wasn’t much separation on the scoreboard either as Dock came away with a 3-1 victory moving to 2-0 on the year.  It was a quiet 39 minutes to start.  Dock took advantage of a corner kick with 30 seconds left as Trevor Ridge headed the ball, but it was knocked down by a Calvary defender’s hand.  Dylan Gable stepped to the PK line and buried his 1st goal of the year to put Dock on the board 1-0.  In the 2nd half Dylan Gable put away his 2nd PK of the day to go up 2-0 after a Dom Brown header was batted away by the hand of a Calvary defender.  With 26 minutes left Dock struck for the 3rd time as Mikey Pustay scored his 1st goal of the year on a crossbar put back to put Dock up 3-1.  They boys will be back in action on Friday, September 1st when they travel to Renaissance Academy for a 1pm kickoff. Dock Wins Opener The Boys Soccer team opened the season against Upper Bucks Christian, coming away with a 6-0 victory.  Fellow Seniors Trevor Ridge and Justin Detweiler controlled the pace of the game showing their passing and play making ability.  Both Ridge and Detweiler recorded 2 assists on the day.  Junior Nate Lacher picked up where he left off last season recording a goal while adding contagious energy to the lineup.  While Dock Soccer fans are probably familiar with those names it was some of the new names that raised some eyebrows in the crowd.  Senior Victor Colom made his much anticipated Dock debut and didn’t disappoint putting 3 in the back of the net.  Freshman Josh Cespedes showed some ankle-breaking flair on the wing and recorded a goal in his 1st varsity match.  Kratz Bros. Inc. is now officially in business as Junior Brayden Kratz and Freshman Ethan Kratz preserved the clean sheet on the day. The Dock Boys Soccer team is back in action at Home on Tuesday when they take Calvary Baptist at 3:45.  Come out a support the team!
