2/2 Dock v. Jenkintown
Dock anticipated a match of close games against Jenkintown especially with the regular team anchor Zeke Longacre unable to attend today’s match. Jenkintown started strong and challenged the Dock team to step up their game. It was close into the 10th frame where Dock made their win official. The next 2 games seemed to go more easily; however, there was always the chance that Jenkintown could turn their games around and take over. The match against Church Farm started so close. The first game came down to the 10th frame where Zeke needed to add to his strike in the 9th which he did with 2 more strikes and a 9 to end the game only 12 pins ahead. The next 2 games were much easier as the Church Farm bowlers struggled to find their line on our lanes. Dock bowlers did well and are well poised to go into the final matches of the season. Nice bowling, guys!

1/9 Dock v. Renaissance
In today’s match against Renaissance Academy, Dock boys were fighting against the lanes and bowled some pretty low games. They were able to hold on enough to roll wins, but two games were close until the 6th or 7th frames which kept the team on edge. Not finding needed adjustments is tough and terribly frustrating. Good job staying ahead as needed! Congratulations!

1/19 Dock v. Church Farm (4-0)
Always a close competitor, Church Farm gave the Dock team a challenge. Dock came out strong in the first game with several high games. The second game was close all the way and ended with Dock winning by only 15 pins. The third game was back and forth all the way until the 10th frame when Dock bowlers all rolled marks to decidedly take the game. That was great bowling!

1/17 Dock v. Jenkintown (4 - 0)
Dock Boys had a successful match against Jenkintown winning all 4 games. Games started out close and bowlers struggled to find their line, but they persevered to take the wins in the end. That’s often the way games go when bowling at away lanes. There is a variety of conditions to adjust to and bowlers have to do whatever they can find that works. That’s often what can make games exciting or frustrating. The good thing is that today the team came out on top. Great work, guys!

Boys Bowling 1/12 Dock v. Morrisville (3 - 1)
After 2 days of taking tough losses against Bristol and Holy Ghost Prep, Dock headed to Morrisville for a match against a team that is a close competitor. The first game was very close, but the Dock team could not get the marks they needed to take the lead. The second game was close most of the way, but this time Dock took over the lead and held on. The match ended with Dock dominating the third game and winning with enough to take total pins as well. Great bowling, guys!

Dock v. Collegium Charter
Friday’s match was against a non-league opponent, Collegium Charter. This is another young team that’s learning the game. Dock rolled a bunch of personal bests that put us out in the lead. Zeke and Liam both had games with a string of 7 strikes. All of this great bowling was fun and exciting. It’s a great show of improvement that we plan to carry into the rest of the season.

Dock Boys’ Bowling rolled 2 matches the first week after Christmas break. Thursday’s match was against Renaissance. This team is full of new bowlers and is not difficult to beat; however, Dock was without their anchor Zeke. The team rose to the occasion and had a successful match with 4 wins. This was a great time for bowlers to see how much of a team game this is and feel like the win was theirs. Way to go, guys!

12/21 Jenkintown
Dock Boys rolled a close match against Jenkintown on Wednesday. There were a few over-average games from the team today, but mostly they were close to average. Jenkintown also did not have stellar games, until the last game. The last game came down to the last frame. As Zeke prepared to throw his last ball, the team was down by 5 pins. He rolled a strike to give Dock the win by 5. Games like that are always exciting, and the team is glad for an anchor they can count on! Nice work, team!

Dock Boys Bowling went into today’s match knowing the games could be close. Getting strikes and spares was going to be extra important. We had to be watching constantly to see how close the game was and if we needed to bring a bowler up from JV. Liam was bowling with an injury to his foot and had to sit out after the second game. And there’s always the challenge of being on unfamiliar lanes.
In the second game, Zeke Longacre rolled a personal best 243.
The team did great! Dock won 3 and lost 1. We won the first 2 games by 114, so as bowlers struggled in the third game, we knew we just had to stay close so that we could win total pins – which we did by only 62 pins.

Dock Boys -- 12/12 Renaissance Academy
The first league match of our season was against a very new and excited Renaissance Academy team.
They definitely win for excitement, but the bowling skill will come in time. Our team won pretty easily even though our scores weren't the greatest either. The one notable score was from Zeke Longacre – 206.
It's exciting to go into our next league match with a 4-0.

12/6 Collegium Charter
Collegium Charter is brand new to the BAL and to having a bowling team. We were excited to host them. Their team is small, so they bowl as a coed team with boys and girls on the same team. Our young team of mostly sophomores dominated their lack of experience. Game totals looked like this.

Dock Bowling Teams rolled against very talented Quakertown teams on Friday afternoon. Dock’s teams were in this to prepare for league matches by bowling on unfamiliar lanes and getting used to match details. Bowling against good bowlers is inspiring and raises our sites to the things we can aspire to. Dock bowlers found their ability to focus and put together things they practiced during the week. Several bowled better than they expected to which makes us hopeful for upcoming league matches. Some great scores were exhibited by Zeke Longacre who started the season with a 600 series – a bowling landmark.
