Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Collegium Charter School

Pioneers Win: 3 - 1
Dock ended with a big win on Senior Night. Dock started the match with great defense and ball control, earning a set one win 25-14. Collegium came out in set two with some strong offense in set two and was able to win the second set 20-25. But Dock made some adjustments and improved their serving, keeping Collegium out of system and earning a set three win 25-18. Now Dock was ready to put the pressure on Collegium and keep the momentum. They did and earned a set four win 25-11 and a match win. This was the last game for the seniors and the team. We will miss the seniors. The stats also show our strong match and improvement. The team had 41 digs, 16 aces, 26 kills and 2 stuff blocks. Individual leaders stats brought out some new names. Our aces leader was Addison Landis with 4, our kill leaders were Ava Dunn and Emily Irvin with 6 each, and our dig leader was again Emily Irvin with 17. Well done girls and great season.

Pioneers Lose: 2 - 3
Dock dropped a close long match to Nazareth. Set scores were 26-24, 20-25, 25-23, 24-26, 14-16. As can be seen, each match was close and could have gone ether way. A good example was the first set where Dock fell behind but battled back to win the set. Second set the opposite happened. It was a fun afternoon and, even with the lose, Dock girls were able to raise awareness and fund for cancer research in our "Dig Pink" match. Well done girls, Our kill leader was Kaitlyn Newell with 8. The service ace leader was Adelyn Clemmer with 4. Digs were lead by Sophia Mercure with 22. The leader in blocks was Adelyn with 2.

Pioneers Lose: 0 - 3
Dock losses to New Hope in 3 but was able to show our talent this time. Last time New Hope won in 3 as well but this time Dock was able to push them to their limit and almost take a set. The second set was a display of some of the best volleyball from these Dock girls so far. Awesome rallys, excellent digs, blocks against taller girls, serving aces, and affective offense made for a loud and exciting set. The three set scores were 9-25, 18-25, and 8-25. Emily Irvin lead us in kills with 2, aces with 2, and 16 digs. The team managed 6 kills, 7 aces, 2 blocks, and 29 digs.

Pioneers Lose: 2 - 3
Dock drops match to Mast in 5. Set scores were 25-23, 22-25, 16-25, 25-22, 13-15. As the scores show, this was a close match. Dock battled back from a 1-2 set deficit to force set 5 and the last rally for the last point was long and crazy. Well done Dock. Our offense was lead by Adelyn Clemmer with 11 kills while the team had 40 kills. Defense was lead by Sophia Mercure with 24 digs while the team had 78 digs. Serving was lead by Emily Irvin with 8 aces and the team total was 23.

Dock drops three straight sets to Souderton in front of a nice crowd at the Longacre Center Gym. Souderton was dominate at the net but Dock was able to keep many hits up and in play. Set scores were17-25, 15-25, and 19-25. Docks offense was lead by Emily Irvin with 3 kills. The defense was lead by Sophia Mercure's 16 digs and Lela Martin's 2 stuff blocks. Serving was lead by Emily with 3 aces. Well done Dock

Pioneers Win: 3 - 2
Dock outlasts Plumstead for a 3-2 win. This rollercoaster of a match was very rewarding to win. Our girls stayed focused and leaning front even when it seemed like we lost momentum. Then the ride would go back up and it seemed like we had the win. But the final ride was a resounding 15-6 set five win for the match. Well done girls. Our offense was lead by Emily Irvin with 14 kills and the team reached 35. Our defense was lead by Emily as well with 18 digs and the team had 58. We had two stuff blocks this match, one by Adelyn Clemmer and one by Lela Martin.

Pioneers Lose: 0 - 3
Dock lost at home against Faith. The match was mostly decided by serving. Faith had several excellent serving runs while Dock had only a few. Dock battled back from Faith's long runs and was able to keep the sets in reach but lost the match 0-3. Next Dock has anther league match against Plumstead on Monday.

Pioneers Lose: 1 - 3
Dock lost a close match with Mast tonight. Set scores were 18-25, 16-25, 25-19, 25-27 for a 1-3 loss. Each set was close with serving runs defining the winner's story. Set 4 was a true competition with both teams holding off long serving runs and scoring key points. Great job Dock and excellent display of an A+ effort. Our offense was lead by Emily Irvin with a season high 12 kills. Dock serving was lead by three girls with 2 aces each, Emily Irvin, Sophia Mercure, and Adelyn Clemmer. Defense was lead by Sophia with 29 and Emily with 27. Great match Dock.

Dock wins a fun match at Collegium. Set scores were 25-23, 25-17, and 25-21 for a 3-0 match win. Key was serving and defense as has been key in our season so far. Serving was lead by Adelyn Clemmer with 7 aces. Defense was lead by Sophia Mercure with 14 digs. Well done Dock on a great win.

The match started out with Villa showing their height and ball control skills. Dock could not find a space or opening to score. After set 1 loss, the openings began to show themselves. Dock played well and was able to score on both serves and net play. Set scores were 6-25, 18-25, and 15-25. Serving was lead by Emily Irvin with 4 aces along with team totals of 12 aces. Hitting was lead by Adelyn Clemmer with 3 along with a team total of 7. Defense was lead by Sophia Mercure with 8 along with a team total of 25. Another highlight was Adelyn's 2 blocks to go with a team total of 3. Well done Dock.

Dock played the best level of play yet in our season. Neshaminy was the bigger team but Dock battled the entire time, coming close to set wins. Scores were 20-25, 23-25, and 23-25. Great serving and defense continues to be our strength, even against great offenses like Neshaminy. Dock had 16 kills, lead by Adelyn Clemmer with 5. Continuing our strong defense, Dock had 35 digs, lead by Emily Irvin with 11. The key was our serving with 12 aces, lead by Emily Irvin with 5. Well done Dock

Dock wins against league rival Plumstead. The set scores were 25-17, 25-17, and 25-13. The key to our win was serving and consistent defense. We had 16 aces, lead by Emily Irvin with 6. Dock had 31 digs, lead by Sophia Mercure with 13. Dock also had 28 kills, lead by Adelyn Clemmer with 9. Nice win Dock.

The Dock girls had a great win tonight against Renaissance. Like last match against them, this was a serving contest. Both teams served well but Dock was able to keep the pressure on more consistently. Dock also improved serve receive, scoring 2 for the match in a zero to three scoring system. Dock had 27 kills lead by Katelyn Newell with 8. Dock had 22 aces lead by Emily Irvin with 11. Dock had 51 digs lead by Sophia Mercure with 22. Well done Dock on an emotional, fun win.

Dock played well and improved many areas of our system but was not able to scrap out a win. Dock had 9 kills lead by Katelyn Newell with 3, 6 aces lead by Emily Irvin with 3, and 25 digs lead by Emily Irvin with 9. We did record an awesome stuff block by Lela Martin against Faith's outside hitter. Well done Dock and well done bench with some great noise. The sets were close 19-25, 18-25, and 20-25. We look forward to continued improvment.

Dock earns first match win of the season 3-2. The story of the game was great defense and excellent serving. We totaled 30 aces and 66 digs, lead by Emily Irvin's 10 aces and Soph Mercure's 22 digs. Well done girls.

Dock started this match with much better serving and some excellent defensive saves. The height and net play of Gwynedd was the final deciding factor. Set scores were 15-25, 15-25, and 7-25.

Dock drops three straight to Upper Bucks 11-25, 10-25, 10-25. Upper Bucks serving was the story of the match. They served short, deep, and mixed in different speeds with almost no errors. Dock's serving was not our best but our girls had some great rallys and stayed in system as we worked hard to equalize the serving advantage. Good work girls.

Dock dropped our first home match of the season 0-3 to New Hope. The Dock girls played well against a bigger school and taller girls. We had some crowd pleasing rallys and in-system runs. All pointing to the increasing team play and growing cohesion of this new group. Well done girls. Set scores were 10-25, 11-25 and 16-25. Dock had 13 kills, 5 aces, and 24 digs.

Pioneers Lose: 1 - 3
Dock began this season with serving display. Plumstead could not get out of rotation and Dock won a deciding set one victory 25-8. But Plumstead was able to make the adjustments and the rest of the match was a closely decided competition. Plumstead ended up winning the match 3-1 with set scores 25-8, 24-26, 21-25, 15-25. Well done Dock.
