The PIAA Golf State Championship was held Monday Oct. 16th and Tuesday Oct. 17th on Penn State’s campus white course.   Dock golf team was well represented by our two captains Dylan Gable and Trevor Ridge.   The PIAA Golf State Championship is a two-day event where 72 PIAA 2A golfers compete for the boys state championship. Monday was a brisk windy day, but that did not stop Trevor and Dylan from having strong rounds. Trevor shot a very consistent round of 82.  A remarkable round considering Trevor was away from the team for the better part of a month with a significant foot injury. Dylan shot his personal best, a 76 which put him tied for 10th after the first day.  This included a front nine of 1 over par 37. Pretty impressive for him to shoot his personal best under those conditions and circumstances.   Tuesday was the final day of competition and saw overcast skies and wind gusts. For this day Trevor netted 82 again with a first nine of 39.  This brought his two-day total to 164. Trevor finished 57th in Pennsylvania for the boys 2A division. Dylan finished Tuesday with an 87 bringing his two-day total to 163. Dylan finished tied for 55th in Pennsylvania for the boys 2A division.   It was a great few days at Penn State for two accomplished golfers. They were able to play and witness some of the best high school golf this year in PA. We are proud of their accomplishments.
