Dock Boys Volleyball Season Ends
Next step districts
Dock Volleyball finished our regular season with a strong 3-0 win versus Kennett Square. Team regular season record is 11 wins and 7 losses. As we get ready for districts, this win was a good reminder of our team’s potential. We played great defense and had amazing offensive finishes. Well done Dock and we look forward to a long deep run into postseason.
Stats: 40 kills, 10 aces, 45 digs, 2 blocks
Dock Improves But Falls Short
The first time Dock boys’ volleyball played league rival Haverford, Dock was able to win one set but dropped the match 3-1. This time, in the loud Haverford gym, Dock was able to win 2 sets and almost pull off the upset in the 5th and final set. The entire match was high energy and loud. After Dock won set one, our fans made tons of noise. Then Haverford won set 2 and it was the home crowd that made the noise (with the help of their marching band). Haverford was able to outplay Dock in set 3 as well but set 4 was Dock’s turn to get loud and earn the win. Set 5 was loud every second and both teams seemed poised to win the set. Haverford got the last key plays to get the match win 15-12. Well done Dock.
stats: 49 kills, 9 aces, 47 digs, 6 blocks
Big Win for Dock Boys’ Volleyball
Three weeks ago our Dock boys traveled to Unionville and came up short. This time Unionville traveled up to Dock and Dock Rocked the Gym, winning in 3 straight sets 25-18, 27-25 and 26-24. The match was loud and fast, filled with big plays and amazing defensive plays. Each set ended with an outstanding play by Dock, including the final play of the match, a monster block for match point. The crowd was in it from the start and their loud support was awesome as well. Great match Dock.
Stats: 33 kills, 2 aces, 42 digs, 5 blocks
Dock Wins Boys Volleyball Local Rivalry
Dock 3 Souderton 0
Dock traveled to local Souderton High School for a mid season match of rivals. Over the years, this match has been a full house event. This time the crowd was a bit smaller but Dock will take the results, a 3-0 match win.
Dock had the lead for most of the match but Souderton kept fighting back and scoring points. Each set was close and full of great defensive plays on both sides of the net. But in the end, Dock was able to win key points and make great defensive saves for more key momentum swings.
Stats: Set scores 25-18, 27-25, 25-18
36 kills, 4 aces, 23 digs, 8 blocks
Dock Shows Promise at Dallastown’s Wildcat Boys’ Volleyball Tournament
Dock ended up 4th in pool play but showed that we can play with the AAA teams in the York/Lancaster area. Each set was within reach. Dock ended the pool play with a match versus Cocalico, another AA school that could be a future States matchup. It was the last matchup of the day with Dock winning the first set and losing a close second set. The improved play throughout the day as well as the hard work of the boys were positive signs with our steadily improving team.
Stats: 74 kills, 12 aces, 74 digs, 10 blocks
Dock Wins Key League Match
Dock Drops Heated 5 Set Match
Dock traveled to Bensalem, site of our basketball team win a few weeks ago. These boys played their hearts out but dropped a very close match in 5. Set scores show some of the story - winning set one 25-10 and winning set two 25-22 then losing set three 17-25 and losing set four 19-25. The last set ended up in Bensalem favor 13-15. The story of the match was battling through adversity. Many swings in momentum and many tough breaks yet both teams stayed in it till the end. Well done dock

Dock Drops to League Rival Haverford
Dock played with intensity and fire tonight but was not able to outlast Haverford, dropping the match 1-3. Haverford won the first two sets and looked like the better team but then Dock’s fire broke out showing that Dock can also play at that level winning set 3. Set 4 was back and forth until 19 all tie. Haverford was in a favorable matchup and they held serve to win the match. Great plays on both sides of the net and a fun, loud gym.
Stats: Set Scores: 13-25, 16-25, 25-19, and 19-25.
Kills - 32, Aces 4, Digs 31, Blocks 6
Dock Loses to Unionville
The Dock Boys’ Volleyball program has run into matches like this before but that history does not make this loss sit any better. Dock seemed like the better team for most of the match but yet managed to drop some key plays with unforced errors and Dock got surprising by some good plays from Unionville. When it was time to get on the bus, Dock had dropped all three sets and had a league match loss. We all expect to see these determined boys rebound and we will get a chance to see Unionville again at our house.
Stats: Set scores: 23-25, 22-25, 23-25.
36 kills, 1 ace, 28 digs, 11 blocks
Dock Drops Match to Rival Pennridge
This match tonight was a meeting of the Indian Valley Volleyball Club players. We know each other well and both teams looked forward to this match. If you were there you got to see why. It was a great match filled with incredible plays and demonstrated the improving level of volleyball in our district. Set scores show the close back and forth play with Dock getting 20, 23, and 24 points in each set but dropping the match 0-3. Pennridge edged out Dock with strong net play and some great serving. Dock had several leads but could not end up with the set win. Most fans assumed this would be more than 3 sets but Dock played well and showed our potential.
Team Stats: 17 kills, 3 aces, 27 digs, 4 blocks

Dock Struggles At Black Knight Joust
Dock had a chance to measure up against some of the best teams in the eastern part of PA at the Hempfield invitational Black Knight Joust in Lancaster. We showed our potential to be a competitive team at that level but we were not able to advance to the playoffs. Set record was 3 wins and 9 losses. Interestingly for our team, in the last few sets we played some of our best volleyball of the day. Ending with some great defensive plays and offensive finishes. This shows the hard work and determination of this team, in spite of the slim chance of making playoffs.
Stats: 85 kills, 13 aces, 80 assists (lead by Dylan Gable with 43), 107 digs, and 12 blocks.
Dock boys’ volleyball is back at regular season play Wednesday versus CB West at their place.
Dock Wins Big
Dock has squared up against Council Rock South many times over the past decades. Few times did Dock find a good system to win 3-0. Well done Dock boys. But the boys have no time to sit back. In a few hours Dock is heading out to Hempfield for tournament play against some of the best teams in the State. Tonight was great momentum for our team that can be carried into tomorrow.
Stats: set scores 25-16, 25-16, 25-22. Kills 36, aces 6, digs 31, blocks 6
Dock Volleyball Starts League 2-0
Tonight Dock earned a win versus Avon Grove with a 3-0 match win. Set scores were 25-19, 25-22, and 25-20. Dock tallied 39 kills, 10 aces, 36 digs, and 1 block. This was a good team win for our boys. Well done.
Dock Wins A Five Set Defensive Battle 3-2
Dock opened League play tonight with an evening match against Lower Merion. As two of the original teams in the IVL league, the rivalry was automatic. The first set seemed like both teams were trying find how to put the ball on the floor. The defensive plays prevented any one team from gaining a big lead. When the set ended, Dock dropped the first set 25-23. The second set was a new story, with Dock dominating from start to finish and winning 25-15. But Lower Merion played a great set 3 and shut Dock down 14-25. But Dock was not done. The rally of these boys was so much fun to see. Great offense, great serves, and continued great defense gave Dock the fourth set 25-18. And Dock kept on rolling in to set 5 with a solid win 15-7. This win was a great start to our league play and a rewarding victory as we battled through some crazy volleyball.
Stats: 13 aces, 8 blocks, 44 digs, 45 kills and 42 assists.
Dock Shows Potential
Dock dropped a fun, exciting match to Pennsbury 3-0. Set scores were 20-25, 24-26, and 23-25. The story of the game was partly seen in the scores but the energy and excitement in the gym was the full story. Dock had some amazing defensive saves and so did Pennsbury. Dock had some amazing offensive finishes but so did Pennsbury. This was a great match for Dock, showing the potential of this developing team of athletes. Well done Dock.
