2017 Fall Sport Pre-Season Practice Information

Fall Preseason Dates: Monday-Friday, August 14-18; Monday-Wednesday, August 21-23
First Day of School: Thursday, August 24

Practice/Game Participation Requirement: PIAA Physical Evaluation

All students interested in going out for a Dock Mennonite Academy sport are required to complete a PIAA Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation and complete the Dock Online Registration. This online registration is a feature of VNN and is located just above our “Latest Photo Galleries” section on the Dock Athletics Homepage (Will Move to the top Menu Bar later in the summer). Most of the PIAA Pre-Participation Evaluation is available for online e-signatures in our new registration, but the medical info from Sections 5 and 6 must be handed in to the Athletic Department. This physical evaluation should be completed after June 1 for the first season of competition in the new athletic year. For all fall sport participants, this completed form must be turned in to the athletic office by August 14, or prior to participating in an official Dock sport team practice. We strongly encourage you to keep a copy of all documents for your own record keeping. Follow along with the tutorial located in the articles section on the front of the home page on www.dockathletics.org. Questions regarding online registration can go to Palmer Trolli, AD Assistant  adassistant@dockhs.org

Sport: Boys Soccer
First Required Practice Date:  August 14

1. Players are required to attend all tryout sessions. 2. Players must have physical forms properly completed and turned in prior to the first tryout session. (Follow online registration instructions on www.dockathletics.org) 3. Bring to each tryout session: white t-shirt, soccer shorts, guards, cleats, indoor shoes & running shoes. All training equipment will be provided.

Time: 5:30-7:30pm on August 15th; 6-8PM 16th-23rd

Additional Notes: Please bring a water bottle and a stretch band if you own one. A stretch band will be provided for those not owning one.

Sport: Girls Soccer

Additional notes: Bring Shin guards (mandatory), Turf & grass training shoes, water. Have all forms turned into Athletic Office before August 14.

Location:  Dock Tennis Courts
Additional Notes 1) PIAA Physical Evaluation Forms are due Monday, August 14.  Players may not participate in a practice or match until the form is turned in. 2) Please bring a tennis racket and water bottle to each practice. 3) Players are expected to attend all practice sessions (August 14-19 and 21-25).  4) Coaches must be notified in advance regarding any absences. Time:  4:00 – 7:00 PM
Location:  Longacre Gym
Varsity/JV Try-Out August 14-23
Additional Notes: 1) Summer work out available on team Facebook page (Christopher Dock Girls Volleyball) or by emailing coach. 2) All players must have required PIAA forms to participate turned in prior to or on first day of practice. 3) All players should have good court sneakers (preferably volleyball specific), knee pads and water.  You may bring a small snack.  A short break will be given each night. 4) Pre-season is required for all players.  If you have schedule issues, contact Trish Hoover ASAP.

Additional Notes: PIAA Physical Forms are due August 14.  Bring to first practice as you cannot participate in practice or matches until turned in.
