On a beautiful Monday night evening, Pioneers hosted Coventry Christian, Pioneers won 13 to 7.

It was a night to remember as we honored our five seniors, Abby Mellinger, Olivia Veltre, Tess Bergey, Maddy Churches, and Jenayah Alvarado Vanegas.  

Pioneers received scoring goals from 8 different players on the team. Pioneers attack was led by Abby Mellinger with 3 goals and an assist on the night, Sophie Veltre with 3 goals, Jenna Detweiler with 2 goals, and a goal each from Olivia Veltre, Tess Bergey, Amanda Moyer, Emily Markel, and Emerson Gruver. Also contributing strong attack was Maddy Churches, Aubrey Clemmer, Lily Hunsberger, Mary-Ellen Picariello and Sami Anderson.

Pioneers defense was led by goalie Jenayah Alvarado Vanegas with 13 saves on the night!  She made some amazing saves including dives, high and low shots too! Pioneers defense caused 8 turnovers.  Strong defense from Olivia Veltre, Amanda Moyer, Ava Dunn, Daniella Slater-Miller, Brielle Bauman and Maddie Gendron. 

Pioneers had 7 control draw possessions, 25 ground ball pick ups, 34 offensive shots and 4 eight meter shots.  

Congratulations to Coventry Christian two seniors #17 Nicole Forth and #57 Gwen Minto. 

Shout out to our five Pioneer seniors, Abby Mellinger, Tess Bergey, Olivia Veltre, Maddy Churches and Jenayah Alvarado Vanegas.  We remember all their hard work and leadership both on and off the field, and four years ago this lacrosse program started and how far it has come over the last couple years and positive influence each of these girls have made for the future of Dock Lacrosse and their impact will always be remembered as we celebrate them tonight on a night to remember!  Congratulations to them and wishing them the very best in all that they do! 

Pioneers next game is Tuesday, May 7 away at Cheltenham HS @ 6pm.
