Pfleiger ('21) Breaks Hood College Softball Career RBI and Hits Record

With 14 RBIs this season (and counting), Jocelyn Pfleiger surpassed Hood College's most career runs batted in record with 112! The record of 102 RBIs was formerly held by Kayli Paugh (2018).

Her 16 hits this season also put her in the lead for most career hits with 161! The record of 159 was formerly held by Amy Hagerdon (2014).

Mandy (Daschbach) Mowry ('03) and Sarah (Huber) Heagey ('03) have had the privilage of playing field hockey with each other in high school at Dock, college at Lock Haven, and now for the USA Masters team! They are honored to be in Cape Town, South Africa representing the USA at the World Cup.

FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College's softball team earns first doubleheader sweep of the year highlighted with Jocelyn Pfleiger (Quakertown, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) hitting two homers to break the career program record in game two and a Sammy McIntosh (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) grand slam in game one as the Blazers win 7-5 and 9-5 over Marymount.

At the Plate 

• Jocelyn Pfleiger (Quakertown, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) went 3-for-3 in game two with two homers, four RBIs, and scored three runs. Pfleiger's home runs bring her career total to 26, a program record previously held by by Kayli Paugh in 2018 at 25 homers.

FREDERICK, Md. - Hood College's Jocelyn Pfleiger (Quakertown, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) homered in both games of a non-conference softball doubleheader against McDaniel to break the Blazers' single season record with 10 on the year. Hood dropped the first game 6-3 before winning the nightcap 9-1 in six innings. 

At the Plate

• Pfleiger went 3-for-7 over the two games with two home runs and three runs batted in. The sophomore tied her own season record from 2022 with her homer in game one, then broke it with a solo shot in game two.

Gabe Kleinert '07 has been named Assistant Coach for the Women's Soccer team at the University of Albany. Kleinert spent the lst two seasons at the University of Rochester, starting as an assistant and then spending the 2021 season as the interim head coach.
