On Monday afternoon, Pioneers hosted George School for a non league game, Pioneers won the contest four to zero.
Pioneers scored in the second quarter and third quarter helping them secure the win. In the second quarter, the first goal was scored by Scarlett Derstine (6:28) assisted by Beylse Landis. The second goal was scored by Ellie Crissman (4:24) assisted by Lydia Ehst. In the third quarter, Pioneers scored on a goal by Paige Hinnershitz (4:50) assisted by Beylse Landis and Scarlett Derstine (1:54) assisted by Beylse Landis.
Attacks were created from Ellie Crissman, Scarlett Derstine and Paige Hinnershitz. Midfielders played strong, led by Sophia Veltre, Ashlyn Koelzer, Beylse Landis, and Sadie Bernd. In total, Pioneers had ten shots on goal and five offensive penalty corners.
Pioneers goalie Madison Afanador had three saves in the game and was credited with the shut out. Strong defense from Lydia Ehst, Avery Goldcamp and Olivia Mozzone were such a huge help.
Pioneers record is 10-1 overall and 4-1 BAL, next game is away at Faith at 7:15pm for a league match up.
