Macy Balmer.

Girls Varsity Field Hockey Assistant Coach

Biography:

Macy Balmer ('19) the new Varsity Field Hockey Assistant Coach. Macy played Field Hockey all throughout her time at Dock in middle school and high school. She finished up her time as a collegiate athlete this fall at Gordon College and is looking forward to returning to her alma mater.

Balmer's love for the game started when she was 6 years old playing for Coach Michelle Waldspurger's Souderton Strikers team. After graduating from Dock in 2019, Macy played 2 years at Lancaster Bible College before transferring to Gordon. At the beginning of her career at LBC, she received the team MVP award and NEAC Rookie of the Year. Macy was captain her sophomore year at LBC and again her senior year at Gordon.

From Macy, "I appreciated the different mindset I was encouraged to have as a Christian athlete, knowing who I was playing for certainly affected the way I played the game. I love the sport and its competitive nature, but what I am looking forward to most is connecting with and encouraging the girls, as I once was in their shoes. I can't wait to see what this next season has in store and I look forward to watching the girls grow as field  hockey players, individuals, and Christ-followers!"
