On a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon, the Pioneers field hockey team traveled to Delco Christian to play league match up game. Pioneers lost one to zero.
Pioneers goalie Madison Afanador played outstanding in goal and saved twelve shots on the afternoon. Pioneers had five shots on goal and two penalty corners. Pioneers offense was created by Ellie Crissman, Ashlyn Koezler, Aubrey Clemmer, and Scarlett Derstine.
Midfielders Sophia Veltre, Sadie Bernd, Natalie Fabrizio, Daniella Slater-Miller, and Beylse Landis played great on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
Pioneers defenders Laura Charles, Avery Goldcamp, Olivia Mozzone and Lydia Ehst transitioned the ball well from the defensive front to our offensive players.
Pioneers did have opportunities to score in the game, and are continuing to develop as a team. Pioneers next game is away on Monday, versus league opponent Jenkintown for a 3:45pm match up.
