On a sunny afternoon, Pioneers traveled to Sacred Heart and won 13 to 5.
Pioneers attack was led by Abby Mellinger with 4 goals and an assist, Jenna Detweiler with 3 goals and an assist, Tess Bergey with 2 goals, Sophie Veltre with 2 goals and Mary-Ellen Picariello with 2 goals.
Pioneers had 25 shots on goal, 16 ground ball pickups, and 15 draw control possessions. Olivia Veltre also had an assist in the game. Pioneers also had 2 eight meter shots. Strong attack by Emerson Gruver, Emily Markel, Brielle Bauman, Lily Hunsberger, and Aubrey Clemmer.
Pioneers defense caused 4 turnovers. Pioneers goalie Jenayah Alvardo Vanegas had 5 saves. Pioneers defense played strong, Olivia Veltre, Tess Bergey, and Amanda Moyer.
Pioneers hard work and teamwork showed today as they really played well together.
