Dock hosted their first home game of the season against a strong opponent in Neshaminy. But that didn’t deter the girls one bit as they came out ready to fight. With the gym ringing loud all throughout the match, Dock brought the energy with the kills. The Outside hitters led the night with Lela getting 7 kills and Riley getting 5. With the season beginning and lineups constantly changing, the whole team responded great to new lineups and new positions. Dana Delamater especially stepped up playing Libero for her first time and leading the team in digs in middle back with 15. Second set of the night was a game Dock will choose to forget and never mention again as volleyball was decided not to be played in that set. BUT game 3 the girls came back with a 300 hitting percentage which is an incredibly strong showing by this team against a big block from Neshaminy. Hope Johnson gave everything she had tonight chasing down passes and setting her hitters, which is not an easy task! This team continues to show they are willing and ready to work hard when they step on the court and never get beat for most energy in the gym!
