Boys Varsity Basketball 23-24
Dock fell in the Elite 8 round of the PIAA State Tourney to Holy Cross, dropping a 61-51 decision. Holy Cross hurt the Pioneers all game with their quickness and transition game. Dock fought back in the 4th quarter with several runs, but in the end the Crusaders defeated Dock and ended a great year for the Pioneers.
Few thought that Dock could sustain the excellence the program has consistently shown, as they lost 6 seniors from last year's 27-3 squad, but Seniors AJ Washington, Michael John, Vaughan Martin, Ethan Parr, Bryan Dorneman, and Josh Mascio provided solid leadership and Dock once again had an outstanding season. The achievements of this group, including going undefeated again in BAL play at 14-0, winning the postseason BAL Tourney for the second straight year, and winning the PIAA District 1 , 2A title for the second year in a row, are testimony to the hard work, team unity, and character of the team. Congratulations Dock on a great season!
