Dock Girls’ had a successful match against Jenkintown. Both teams bowled their season high match totals, but Dock held on to take all of the games. The team worked together well led by Ashley Brown who bowled her season high series. In addition, Naomi Rosenberger bowled her high series. She has been improving quickly through the season. Dock had several successes - individual and team - that made today’s wins a lot of fun. The team was able to win easily over Jenkintown even though they were achieving higher scores than usual. In the second game, all varsity bowlers were putting up high scores to give the team their season high game score of an even 1000. Logan Sell led the team with his high game of 226, and Zeke Longacre scored his season high of 279. These bowlers also had high series totals of 659 and 725 respectively. Zeke’s scores are the highest single game and series ever rolled by a Dock bowler. The Dock girls basketball team played against a sharp-shooting, one-loss Delco squad Tuesday night. The girls fought their way through a hard game, unable to come out with a win. Dock trailed 16-19 at halftime thanks to some strong defense. The leading scorer for this game was Dana Delamater with 12 points, followed closely by Lola Mariner with 8 points, Nora Osifchin with 4 points, Lily Price with 3 points, and Mary-Ellen Picariello with 2 points.

Dock dropped a hard fought BAL contest Wednesday night to Chester Charter 62 to 56, their first regular season league loss in an amazing 52 straight games.Though their streak came to an end Dock had nothing to hang their heads about as they played their hearts out. Chester Charter hit tough key shots down the stretch and converted their 4th quarter free throws to pull out the road win. Credit to Chester for a tough road win.

The girls basketball team faced a tough game against CB West on Saturday. The final score of the game was 61-19, with CB West taking the win. Dock’s leading scorer was Lola Mariner with 7 points, followed by Nora Osifchin with 6 points. Other contributors of scoring were Mary-Ellen Picariello, Isabella Price, and Dana Delamater. Overall, the team fought hard against this very skilled basketball team and learned a lot by playing this game.

Dock defeated Morrisville 66-36 for their 6th straight win. Dock forced 24 turnovers and got balanced scoring led by Tony Martin with 16, Marques Brown with 13 and Robbie Sukaly with 11. The win improved Dock to11-2 overall and 8-0 in BAL play. Next up is Chester Charter at Dock on Wednesday at Dock, 5:30pm JV and 7:00pm Varsity.

Dock finished a rugged stretch going 3-0 in their 3 games this week, defeating Norristown 63-53 in a tough non-league matchup. Rob Sukaly had 23 points and 5 rebounds, Xavier Mitchell grabbed 8 boards, Marques Brown had 12 points and Koby Rollerson contributed 7 assists. Tony Martin and Justin Panaia each had 8 points, as Dock improved to 10-2 overall.

On Wednesday January 8, the girls basketball team faced a hard game against Calvary Baptist. The girls started off strong early and played until the final buzzer sounded, making it difficult for Calvary to come up with the win, the final score was 42-36, Dock taking the win. Dock’s leading scorer was Lola Mariner with 15 points, followed by Dana Delamarter with 12 points. Other scoring contributions were Nora Osifchin, Lily Price, Mary-Ellen Picariello, and Isabella Price. The team overall played very aggressive, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats the whole game.

The Dock Girls’ Team made a strong effort today and split the match with the Renaissance Girls bowling 3 very close games. The team, bowling with only 3 players, had their best scores in the first game, led by Naomi Rosenberger. This win by 22 pins was enough to give them total pins even though games 2 and 3 were lost to Renaissance. The losses were only by 4 and 5 pins which meant the game-one win carried the match. So close, girls!

Dock Boys’ Bowling continued their winning week by taking all 4 against Renaissance Academy. Logan Sell had a strong series and led the team in this win. Renaissance has some strong bowlers who made games close. Since several of the regular varsity squad were out for a variety of reasons, jv bowlers Jason Yu and Roman Kurian helped out. Dock Boys’ Bowling started 2025 with a good win over Morrisville. Games started out close, but the Dock team found a way every time to pull ahead and keep the lead. Dock played solid defense and ran their BAL record to 7-0, beating Calvary Christian 48 to 30, Dock improves to 9-2 overall as Tony Martin had 16 points and Xavier Mitchell was active on the boards to help Dock to a 38 to 20 rebound margin. Marques Brown provided energy and hustle as Dock won their 4th straight. Next up for the Pioneers is Norristown this Saturday.

Akoi Deng had 8 points and 8 rebounds, Robbie Sukaly had 20 points and 8 rebounds, and 9 Pioneers scored as Dock improved to 8-2 overall and 6-0 in BAL play. The win marked the 50th consecutive BAL regular season win for Dock — a streak covering 4+ straight seasons.

Dock girls basketball faced a good game against Salem Christian on Saturday January 4. The girls played a great game, coming out with a win. The final score was 55-11. Dock’s leading scorers were both Lola Mariner and Dana Delamater, both scoring 15 points. Other scorers of the game were, Lily Price, scoring 9 points, Nora Osifchin, scoring 6 points, and Isabella Price and Mary-Ellen Picariello, scoring 5 points. Torra Landis, Kyleigh Mascio, and Ibiza Almendros all got some playing time in the 4th quarter and had a fun time and played their best. Overall, Dock continues to practice and play hard, improving their skills each time they step on the court!

On Thursday against Church Farm, the Dock team improved their standing. CFS was bowling their first match, and they came out strong to win the first game. We took the other 2 much more easily which also gave us total pins, so we took 3 wins from that match. There were some challenging conditions in our first time on away lanes. That's all part of it!
